Service Technician & MOT Tester - Bournemouth

My client are an industry leader within the Motor Trade industry

An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Bournemouth area for an experienced Service Technician & MOT Tester

Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks, to keep vehicles in optimal condition and prevent mechanical failures.

Diagnostic Testing: Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems in vehicles. Diagnose issues accurately and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.

Repair Work: Conduct repairs on vehicle components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and suspension systems. Follow manufacturer specifications and repair procedures to ensure quality workmanship.

MOT Testing: Perform MOT tests in accordance with regulatory guidelines and standards. Inspect vehicles for safety, emissions, and roadworthiness criteria. Document test results accurately and issue certificates as required.

Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their vehicle concerns and provide clear explanations of recommended services and repairs. Address customer inquiries and ensure a positive service experience.

Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including those set by regulatory agencies and internal policies. Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance services, and repairs performed. Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation as required by regulations and company procedures.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in regulations related to vehicle maintenance and MOT testing. Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
